Bob Edgar — Band Director
Bob Edgar joined the Higley Unified School District in 2009 and became the Band Director at Williams Field High School in 2011.


Mr. Edgar was honored as the 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year for Power Ranch Elementary School and was awarded the Mayor’s Lifetime Achievement Award for the Town of Gilbert in 2013.  Bands under Mr. Edgar’s direction have performed at many prestigious events including the Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington D.C., Florida Citrus Parade, the Fiesta Bowl Parade and Blue Cross Blue Shield National Band Championships.


Bob Edgar has served on the Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association Board as Vice President of High School Activities and President. Bob has served as the AIA Representative and President for Winter Guard Arizona and was inducted to the WGAZ Inaugural Hall of Fame Class in 2012. He holds a Bachelors of Music: Instrumental Education Degree from Arizona State University and an MBA from California Lutheran University.
    

Stacey Garcia — Assistant Band Director
    

Peter Wood — Percussion
After a bad stint with the clarinet Peter made the switch to percussion, and since that time there has been no looking back. He has been playing drums for over 21 years, and in that time has performed with, and instructed many groups. These groups include: Arizona’s first competitive indoor high school drumline Gilbert High School, Chandler Gilbert Community College Jazz Combo, Rhythm is Life steel drum band, Keith Urban drumline in concert, and was performing member & staff member of Arizona’s first Independent World Class Drumline- Momentum Percussion Theater (WGI Finalist 2003 and 2004.)


Not only was Peter a performer and bass section leader in Momentum Percussion Theater 2003-2004, he was also on staff from 2003-2006. During that time he handled much of the groups logistics as well as instructing the battery along with his former instructors and mentors Bob Edgar, Rich Hinshaw and Antonio Hernandez. Peter has taught rudimental drumming to students of all ages, from a youth drumline at the Gilbert Boys & Girls Club for kids ages 6-12, all the way up to Percussion Independent World (PIW) finalists and everything in-between.


In addition to instructing, Peter was a charter member of the Winter Guard Arizona (WGAZ) percussion advisory board and has consulted several indoor programs through the state of Arizona.Currently Peter is the Percussion Caption Head for Williams Field High School in Gilbert, Arizona. The school just completed their second year of scholastic indoor competition and had a successful season with their production entitled, Cool.


Future endeavors include continuing to compete in WGAZ and regional WGI events as well as planning to compete in WGI Championships in Dayton Ohio.

Rich Hinshaw — Percussion Design
Rich Hinshaw is member of the WGAZ hall of fame and was State Orchestral Snare Drum Champion in 1990. He marched and was Percussion Section Leader in a top 12 drum and bugle corps for several years. He is a judge for both ABODA events and the WGAZ circuit.


Rich graduated with a degree in music education from ASU, and has taught band at several Elementary, Junior, and High Schools, in Gilbert district. Rich has been and still is Caption Head for countless High Schools, Colleges and Drum Corps including: Velvet Knights, Impulse, Momentum Percussion Theater, Wescoast Sound, Seattle Cascades, ASU, South Mountain Community College (WGI champions 1998), Deer Valley High, Gilbert high, and the list goes on.

Aaron Hudson — Visual
Aaron Hudson comes from a strong family oriented musical background. Originally from the Midwest, he has performed with the ASU Sun Devil Marching Band and the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps on euphonium and tuba respectively. He also plays washboard and percussion with the ASU Dixie Devils.


Aaron has worked on the visual staffs for the SDMB, Williams Field HS, and Dobson HS, as well as the Clondalkin Youth Band from Dublin, Ireland.Aaron recently graduated from ASU with a double major in History and Anthropology. He has a strong love for the history and culture of the arts, and hopes to work in museums in the future. Additionally, he is an alumnus of Kappa Kappa Psi and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.


Aaron is very excited to return to the Black Hawk Regiment for his second year working as a Brass/Breathing Gym Technician and Visual Caption Head.
    

Albert Jimenez — Color Guard
Albert Jimenez has been involved in the color guard activity for 8 years. A Texas native, Albert began his teaching career at Gilbert High School. He has been at Gilbert for 5 years and is in his second year here at Williams Field. Albert marched the Glassmen and Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps, in WGI and founded Entity Winter Guard.
